EP. 16: robert j. spitzer, phd

Father Robert Spitzer is a philosopher, educator, author, speaker, professor, and Jesuit priest. He is the co-founder of the Magis Center of Reason and faith, a non-profit institute located at Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove, California dedicated to encouraging unity between faith, philosophy, and science through a multitude of resources and programs.

In 1974, Spitzer received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on finance and public accounting from Gonzaga University. He earned his master's degree in philosophy from St. Louis University in 1978, among several others.

In June 1983, he was ordained a priest. He focuses mainly on New Testament scripture studies as well as fundamental theology.

Spitzer has written a number of books and articles, including The Spirit of Leadership: Optimizing Creativity and Change in Organizations, Healing the Culture: A Commonsense Philosophy of Happiness, Freedom and the Life Issues, and Evidence for God from Contemporary Physics: Extending the legacy of monsignor Georges Lemaitre.

Currently, Father Spitzer is the Rector of Junipero Serra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California.
