EP. 17: hugh ross, phd

Hugh Ross is an astronomer, best-selling author and founder and president of Reasons to Believe, an organization dedicated to integrating scientific fact and biblical faith. He has made many TV appearances, partaken in several debates, and has traveled the globe speaking on these issues and the compatibility of advancing science and scientific discoveries with those timeless truths that we have in the Bible and in Christianity.

Ross earned a degree in physics from the University of British Columbia and a PhD in astronomy from the University of Toronto. In 2012, alongside Dr. Gerald Schroeder, he received the Ide P. Trotter Prize from Texas A&M University in recognition of his efforts to connect science and religion.

He has written a number of books, including Navigating Genesis, Why the Universe Is the Way It is, and Hidden Treasures in the Book of Job.

Today, Hugh leads a team of scholars who connect reason and scientific findings to consistently support confidence in the biblical God.

Hugh lives in Southern California with his wife, Kathy, and their two sons.
