Pat Gelsigner is the CEO of VMWare.

In our Podcast Episode #4, Pat Gelsinger discusses his lifelong journey through leadership, family, and faith.

Pat Gelsinger has been the CEO of VMWare since 2012 and has been a leader in high-tech and Silicon Valley for more than 35 years. Prior to VMWare, he was the President and COO at EMC.

Before then, Pat was at Intel for 30 years where he had many leadership positions, including becoming their youngest vice president at age 31 and later their first Chief Technology Officer.

Pat has many patents to his name and was involved in the creation of the things we all use every day: little things, like the chips in our computers, USB, and Wi-Fi, just to name a few.

He has also written two books, Balancing Your Family, Faith & Work and The Juggling Act: Bringing Balance to Your Faith, Family, and Work

At Santa Clara University, Gelsinger earned his bachelor's degree from Santa Clara University in 1983 and his master's degree from Stanford University in 1985 (magna cum laude) in electrical engineering. In 2008, Pat was named a Fellow of the IEEE and that same year awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from William Jessup University.
